Description
This resin is a clear epoxy laminating system formulated to produce clear laminates, coats or fillers with good UV stability.
It is easy to use, cures at ambient temperature and is self levelling.
MIXING RATIO:
By weight: 100 + 40, By volume 2 + 1
WARNING: The mixing ratio must be accurately followed. It is not possible to change the ratio, this would result in lower mechanical properties. The mixture should be thoroughly stirred to ensure full homogeneity.
It is important to note that epoxy systems tend to heat up much faster in a pot than as a thin film. It is therefore necessary to only mix the necessary amount usable within the given pot life. Keeping the mixture in flat open containers reduces the risks of exothermic reaction.
APPLICATION:
The standard procedure of working with epoxy systems applies to this resin. The system can be applied by hand, infusion and injection.
Can be used with additives to produce fillers.
The system is clear and has good UV resistance.
When using with glass fabrics, aramid (Kevlar) or Carbon Fibre, the resin required to wet out is approx 1:1 by weight of the fabric. It is advisable to mix an extra 50% resin to compensate for wastage on brushes/rollers and mixing pots.
Not suitable for use with emulsion bound chopped strand mat, but can be used with powder bound mat.
